Clothing/Accessories: Locke prefers comfort over
formality and dresses as such. He wears a loose, long-sleeved white cotton
button-up shirt that he wears with the buttons unfastened and the sleeves rolled
up to his elbows. Over this he wears a long black sleeveless vest with gold trim
that he keeps completely unbuttoned at all times, on the back of which the kanji
for the marine slogan "Justice" is embroidered in gold as well, and the inside
of the vest is red violet. Locke wears a simple bandana, also red violet on his
head holding his slicked back hair in place. He wears fingerless black leather
gloves, dark blue jeans, and standard issue black leather boots. A pair of
tinted glasses with rectangular frames sit squarely in front of his
eyes.

General Appearance: Locke is a tall man with a
slender but athletic build. His arms and legs are especially sculpted, while in
comparison his torso and back are merely toned. He has a scar consisting of
three jagged lines that runs from his right cheek down into the side of his
neck. His face is rather distinct, with a straight bridged nose and young
complexion. He has a scruffy goatee with no mustache and generally keeps the
rest of his facial hair trimmed to a five o' clock shadow.

Personality: Even
though Locke believes justice is something that should be upheld, he has always
had a capacity of respect and almost admires the free spirit of pirates. He has
a laid back persona that's coupled with a lazy, procrastinating nature. Locke
follows his own method of justice that he believes is more realistic than the
"Absolute Justice" that other marines believe in. He wouldn't penalize a pirate
for being a pirate, and only takes down people who he believes have been unjust
enough to deserve punishment. He's got a great sense of humor and enjoys
laughing and having a good time.

Hometown: Bausyer
Island

History: Locke was raised in a family with a stay
at home mother and a father who was the local smith. The household was a
comfortable one, with enough money coming in to live without any serious
financial problems while not being spoiled. From his father he learned the trade
and the skills of the smithy, while from long uneventful days staying home with
his mother he gained his calm, lazy nature. His main childhood hobby was
practicing martial arts and fighting with his small group of close
friends.

Throughout his years he regularly competed in the triennial
competitions of Bauyser Island, and made a name for himself as a great fighter.
One year during his late teens a special competition was held, the prize of
which was a locked chest confiscated from pirates. He won this competition and
in the chest was a devil fruit, which he ate after much debate. Shortly after
the competition, he was approached by a marine scout who was looking for
recruits, and enlisted the same week. Over the years he's been busy mastering
his devil fruit and perfecting the style of fighting he
developed.

Abilities and
Possessions

Combat: Locke
practices a simple yet effective fighting style that focuses on jumping,
striking with the feet, and counter attacking by grappling and throwing enemies.
Generally when on the offense striking with the lead foot is key, and attempts
to cripple enemies by attacking points like limbs and the head are the norm.
Grappling and throwing enemies are used mostly when forced into a defensive
position to counter attack, or to position enemies for stronger strikes. Jumping
around and making quick but fluid movements allows proper positioning for strong
kicks.
